"I had a complicated storage situation (sharing my unit with other college students), and ended up having to call the facility several times. The number provided put me in touch with Gretchen, who was very helpful. She was always quick to respond to calls/texts/emails, and even went out of her way to help a college student without a car. She was clear about explaining official procedures to replace keys and move out of the unit, and seemed committed to make the process easier. I can't speak to past management, but the current customer service was top notch! As for the storage itself, I put my stuff in a unit and took it out again after a year -- I'd say that's a working storage facility."

"On 11/10/20 I reserved a unit with Gretchen at AAA Storage on Granville Rd.in Mt. Vernon, OH. My arrival date was to be 11/19/20 and my departure date was to be *12/5/20. Gretchen asked for my name, address, e-mail address and phone number so she could enter it into her system. Gretchen quoted me $20.00 for an administration fee and $48.74 for pro-rated rental from 11/19/20 to 11/30/20. She gave me the gate access code which she said included the building number, the unit number and the last four numbers of my phone number. Gretchen was going to check with the owner of this facility to find out what the pro-rated rate would be for the *five days rental in December which Gretchen said is the amount of days they pro-rate up to for pro-rating at the beginning of a new month, then she would know what the total charges would be. Gretchen was going to call me back in 20 minutes to let me know what the owner said. After 45 minutes passed I did not hear from her, so I called her. When she answered the phone, she identified the call as being from me and immediately said the owner said they did not want to pro-rate the month of December so I would have to pay for the whole month. Gretchen said since I had not paid for the unit I reserved it was not mine, so I rented your unit to someone else. I explained to Gretchen that I was waiting on her to let me know what the total cost would be so I could pay for it that day. Instead of giving me the option to pay for the month of December in addition to the pro-rated month of November Gretchen rented the unit out from under me. The rating scale does not go low enough to accurately rate the unethical manner in which I was treated."

"No communication. Phone is not answered when you call. Leave numerous messages and no return phone calls. No response to text messages. Contract states that deposit monies will be returned within 30 days of move out - they were not - took about 45 days to return monies. Tried calling and texting and got no response from the owners. I would not recommend using this business for your storage needs. I would try another storage facility in Mount Vernon OH."
